  • Colorectal surgeon who sees patients at two clinics in central and western Moscow.

  • One doctor from the first visit to surgery and through recovery.

Dr. Tatarinov's English is basic; a consultation in English is possible.

Why patients choose a personal surgeon

Large multi-specialty centres often pass a patient between a front desk, a consulting doctor and an operating team. My approach is simpler, and it suits people who live in Moscow but do not feel at home in the Russian medical system:

  • The same specialist throughout. I examine you, explain the diagnosis, operate if surgery is needed and see you at every follow-up.
  • A clear price for the first visit. You know what the consultation costs before you come.
  • Direct contact. You write to me, not to a call centre, and you can send a short question between visits.
  • Videos you can watch in advance. My channel explains common conditions and recovery, several of them with an English audio track.
  • Recovery at home with written instructions. After treatment you receive a detailed plan for diet, hygiene, pain relief and check-ups.

Conditions I treat

Coloproctology covers problems of the anal canal, the rectum and the skin around them. People often wait for months out of embarrassment, yet these conditions are usually easier to treat when caught early.

  • Hemorrhoids — bleeding, swelling, prolapse, itching; from lifestyle changes and medicines to laser surgery.
  • Anal fissure — sharp pain during and after a bowel movement, bright red blood on the paper.
  • Thrombosed hemorrhoid — a sudden, tense, painful lump at the anus.
  • Anal fistula and perianal abscess — throbbing pain, swelling, fever, discharge near the anus.
  • Anal warts (condylomas).
  • Pilonidal sinus — an inflamed opening or cyst in the cleft between the buttocks.

What happens at the consultation

  1. Conversation. We talk about your complaints, diet, bowel habits, medicines and previous treatment.
  2. Examination. An external check and a gentle digital examination, done with your consent and explained in advance.
  3. Anoscopy, if needed. A short, small instrument lets me see the anal canal directly. It is part of the visit and is not charged separately.
  4. Diagnosis and plan. I explain what I found and what the options are. If surgery is reasonable, you get an estimate of its cost.
  5. Colonoscopy referral when indicated. Bleeding and changes in bowel habit can come from higher up in the bowel, including tumours, so I refer you for colonoscopy when the picture requires it.

Privacy

  • The visit takes place in a private room, one to one.
  • You do not need to send photos before the visit; a description of your symptoms in the messenger is enough to book.
